I started in the BDSM lifestyle in early childhood and came to the community of kink as a teen.  This fall was honored with the title of Southern California Leather Woman 2010.  

As your Southern California Leather Woman I am privileged to bring our diverse women’s community together and celebrate what makes us strong and beautiful.

On Saturday, February 5, 2011 I want to cordially invite you to Corset Tea Salon.  It will be from 2-5 pm at the Chado Tea Room in hwood, located at 1738 N. Orange St. Los Angeles, CA 90028.   It promises to be an afternoon celebration of hedonistic pleasures and earthly delights:

We’ve invited top area artists to show their new designs in the beautiful Chado Tea Room inside hwood.  Chado has been ranked as the Best Tea Room in Southern California and the food and teas are an aromatic and tasty delight alone. We’ve added elements to entertain you like national Tribal Style Belly Dance performer Marjhani. 

The Tea Salon is a return to the days when ladies gathered to be entertained with fashion, music, dance and most importantly to chat.   And the modern corset represents our power, beauty and the image of a Domina today. 

This event will also raise funds and awareness for two charities that support our lifestyle: the (Victoria) Woodhull Freedom Foundation and the Women’s History Project of the Leather Archives and Museum.  

I’ve created a Champagne VIP Seating package for you in mind.  It features:

Art, Metal and Sex

Damn, freak shows are fun!

That was my experience this week after attending an exhibition of Sex and Metal new kink furniture and equipment.  A riveting experience of pain and pleasure mixed to music and of course beautiful naked, powerful women. (Fetlifers can view a video of the finale)

Intensity of play is rarely elaborated upon, other to say Wow that was intense, hot or scary.  We often don't have the words to explain why it touched, bothered, interested you and we are left alone to interpret what just happened with our own filters.  

My filters saw a wax play scene, which mostly is a stimulating warm sensation that is interesting to the eye, sensual to the flesh, and a relaxed type of scene.  Sex and Metal took it up a notch with a torch instead of a wick.  And the physical responsiveness of the demo model was moving.  Sorry it's to intense to show you here. But I will add that play like this is best scene in person and not shown to the masses. 

Intensity opens up our spirits and minds to take in the information of a play while dealing with the emotions it brings up.  Often we don't pay attention to those emotions until we are finding them disturbed or stimulated.  

But think about something else you saw that was tough at first to look at, but you couldn't take your eyes away.  Intensity is the reason we ride the ferris wheel, drink and drive,  date outside our race, speed,  mountain climb, etc. We crave it and I would go further and say we need it. 

A little Christmas Story

When four of Santa's elves got sick,the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa beganto feel the Pre-Christmas pressure. 

Then Mrs. Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more. 

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out,    Heaven knows where. 

Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered. 

Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drunk all the cider and hidden the liquor.In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom. 

Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree. 

The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?' 

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

Not a lot of people know this.

It's the Hedonist Tea Time!

I can't wait to get these pesky holidays out of the way, so I can focus on a hot cupper, while chatting away about so and so.  And the sales I missed, the rude shoppers who obviously forgot the reason for the season etc.

I am as my mother use to say, "A big girl all growed up."  I never knew what the hell she was talking about but it still made me smile.  Today that means, I have my cake I want and I eat it too.  That means not only celebrating the decadence of intellectual, sexual edge, art, music, food and love, it means I share it with you by hosting a tea party!

Say what?  "No, I haven't lost my mind, but I've found my body, and connected to it."

When I was a military brat I traveled a lot and saw the color, clothing, art, music of many US and International cultures growing up.  They filled my mental pallet with what every day should look, smell, sound, feel and taste like.  And we should never be kept in grey cubicles!  But in the richness of a field of marigolds, or the smell of smoked bbq ribs,  the taste of homemade peach ice cream, the warmth of honeyed tea down your rough throat and the touch of a warm, dry kisses on the back of your neck.  Dear Gentle Kinkster that's what you should count as a good day.

And that's why I'm a hedonist.  I religiously believe that we are here on this planet to enjoy all of the  senses we are given.  I intend to do just that with:

It's my kind of day time, play time party. First everybody comes in looking fantastic!  Then as you are escorted to your white linen table, you take in your breath as you are seated in a room strewn with flower petals, incensed and flickering low candlelight drawing your legs to sit and take it all in.

Once your order is taken you are invited to wander outside to the enclosed courtyard where the vibrant colors of art, and sculpture draw your whole loins forward.  The artists work calls draws your hand to reach out and touch and connect with the sensual interpretation of form and beauty in varying mediums.
Further along the courtyard path you see the light and color that bounces and catches your eye of the decadent richness of fabrics, and sparkling jewels.  All the while a concoction of feminine voices sing their songs of triumph and stumbles in love, work, lust and family.

While you sip tea your hostess comes to the table and welcomes you personally.  She reminds you of a woman caught in another place in time and you wonder what's her story, and want to hear more.  She promises to share all you wish to know.

The music shifts and the hostess formally welcomes everyone.  There is honestly a hushed excitement in the air, your senses are tingling, now hungry for more beautiful things.  It's time for the Fashion Show to begin and after you have seen some of the amazing items in the boutiques, you can't wait to see how they are realized to life!
